We strongly urge all Metro Region Men’s Club members to attend the dinner at Crest Hollow Country Club this Sunday from 12:30 – 5:30

Dinner includes full cocktail hour with unlimited alcohol, 3 course dinner, again with unlimited alcohol and live music for you dancing and listening pleasure.

Please, register for the dinner by Thursday, March 16th since we need time to make the table arrangements.

This dinner is always enjoyable and great fun.

Dear Brothers of the NY Metro Region,
It saddens us to learn that Mary Katzin- Simon, the wife of Rabbi Charles Simon (CEO) of FJMC has passed away this past Sunday. Below are the details: in a letter sent to me from Allan Gottesman National FJMC President. Note that I adjusted May the memory of Mary Katzin- Simon be for a blessing.

Dear Robert:

I regret to inform you of the sudden passing of Mary Katzin- Simon (z”l); wife of Rabbi Charles Simon, the Executive Director of the FJMC.

The funeral of Mary Katzin-Simon (z”l) had taken place Tuesday, November 8th, 2016, at 12:30 PM at Plaza Jewish Community Chapel (630 Amsterdam Avenue at 91st Street).

The burial followed at Huntington Jewish Center Cemetery in Huntington, NY.

Shiva will take place at Rabbi Simon’s home; 180 Riverside Dr. Apt. 9B, New York, NY 10024 as follows:

Tuesday, November 8, 6:00-8:00PM (Ma’ariv at 7:00PM)
Wednesday, November 9, 12:00-8:00PM (Ma’ariv at 7:00PM)
Thursday, November 10, 12:00-8:00PM (Ma’ariv at 7:00PM

Dear NY Metro Region Brothers, 


Next week on November 14th we will be having our regional meeting at the Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center (HMTC).  There will be a guest speaker there invited especially for us, to tell about his experiences with the American armed forces liberating the concentration camps in World War II.

HeScreen Shot 2016-11-09 at 7.34.53 PM is naturally from the greatest generation and he would like to begin his speaking at 6:00 PM.  So if you want to hear his great lecture be there at 6:00 PM.  As you know this is not our regular meeting schedule.  If you arrive later than 6:00 PM please enter the facility and room quietly. After his lecture there will be a buffet meal and the meeting will commence.  Immediately after the meeting there will be a group tour.

·       LIE to exit 39 North (Glen Cove Road)

·       Follow Glen Cove Road to the end (about 5 miles)

·       Turn right onto Brewster

·       At 3rd light, turn left on Cottage Row

·       Go through traffic light (Roosevelt)

·       Take to the end

·       Turn right onto Crescent Beach Road

·       Stay straight about 1 mile, TURN RIGHT  into Welwyn (just past New Woods Road)
